It's impossible to say with the limited info given here. What you need to do is to eliminate the possibilities by doing some diagnosis. First, get the PCM scanned for codes as these can be clues to driveability problems. When getting it scanned be sure to check the PCM's data to see if it is valid data and not scrambled which would indicate a faulty board in the PCM which would require replacement. Then check for spark output at all of the cylinders at the spark plug end. You are looking for strong and consistent spark. If you have weak and inconsistent spark you need to check all the plug wire connections and the coil towers for corrosion or carbon tracking. You should also at this point remove all the spark plugs to inspect for the same. If you find you have good spark on two or four cylinders and none on the other two, you probably have a faulty ignition module and the coil for this pair of cylinders is likely shorted which is why the module gets burned. This would require both of the parts stated. There is a possibility that the crank sensor is faulty also, but that usually just shows up as a no-start complaint. If this is good, you need to install a fuel pressure guage onto the fuel rail at the port just behind the oil fill cap. These motors need to idle at about 35 psi and bump higher when revved. If the pressure is too low, I would suspect a plugged fuel filter, a crapped out pump, or both. All I can say is to check and re-check as this stuff is expensive to replace so one has to be sure that the part being replace is the one that has crapped out. Good luck.

Nothing is wrong with a V-6 as long as you don't try to make it into something that it isn't and never will be-a high performance car. Although, with a factory rating of 323 horsepower, it should still get down the road pretty well. Your insurance premiums should be cheaper and you should get better fuel economy in a car that you can drive every day and not have to worry about keeping the miles off of it so that some "collector" will pay top dollar for it years from now. The Camaro NEVER had a V-8 as the base engine-in the early-mid 1980's some of them even came with a 4 cylinder. V-8's have always been available on the option lists, but never the standard engine. A Camaro is not just a Camaro, but, drive yours, enjoy it and let your friends be jealous-that's what they are anyway.

GM had a big concern with fuel, the sulfur is contaminating,fuel pumps and sending units,if you live in Canada,problem is greater.The first thing you need to do is get a can of spray starting fluid,lift the hood start the car,do not pump the gas.when it starts to die spray starting fluid at the in scope of the air filter housing.This is before the filter,be very care full,to spray short burst and only at that location,if you try to accelerate it will back fire,if you spray anywhere else you may start a fire.If the car stays running with short burst of fuel,the I would see if the filter is plugged,fuel pump is old,or pick screen in tank is ruptured.Be Careful

TPS, Map, or other sensor is bad- you need an engine scan- and replace the sensor.

check the air flow sensor and makes sure you don't have any unmeter air going into the motor.
