Mac and PC (x86) are computer architectures. Linux is an operating system (OS). Linux can work on a wide variety of different architectures - Mac OSX only works on Mac machines, Windows (OS) only works on x86 machines.
Your question as it stands is a little meaningless. What do you need the computer for?

Linux is an OS. Of the 2 computers left, about equal with the PC being by far the best buy.

A long time ago I used to think that macs were the best computers out there on the market, they have that awesome dock bar, and they are very sleek, and stuff like that. I love windows (xp) though, mostly because it is more customizable, and moddable. If you are good with computers, and like to change things frequently, than PC is right for you. If you are a really intense coder, or need an open source operating system (if you dont know what an open source operating system is than dont get one) than you should get linux.
In my final opinion however, I would recommend you to get a new computer, prefferably an HP because of its sleek design, that has windows vista on it. I love vista, and have used it for a long time now, and it truelly is amazing. It is very secure. the only bad part about it is that many xp programs (mostly games) dont work on it.

mac is easy to use but not as customizable and expandable as windows. windows is flawed and not as efficient as linux. i personally prefer to have a dual OS system with windows xp and the linux of your choice. this allows me to have the best of it all. i really dont like mac its the operating system for people that just wanna surf the net and use myspace, with some easy but limited picture and video fun.
