I have heard that cryotherapy (on the cervix, right?) may cause incompatent cervix, you may be hgher risk for a miscarrage and need a cerclage.

I had to have that after I had my son a few months ago and me and my husband are planning on having more kids and my doctor assured me that it wouldn't affect any of that. Plus all the research I did said there was hardly any risk. I'm only 19 though so it may be different with older ages I'm not sure on that. It wasn't too painful for me at all. Just a little cramping. My best advice would be to take 2 ibuprofuen one hour before you go cause that really helped with my pain. my doctor was really impressed at how little I felt. Just go in relaxed and you'll be fine. It's not as bad as it might sound or look. Good luck and hope everything goes okay

This shouldn't effect your chances of getting pregnant, but it will surely weaken your cervix. You will need to have a cerclage placed when you are 12-14 weeks pregnant. A cerclage is a stitch to hold the cervix shut.

Trust me, you don't want to loose a baby from something so simple. I lost a child at 17 weeks from an incompetent cervix.

If you do get pregnant again, see a high risk doctor. Don't take changes with your cerclage.

The biopsy is much more painful than cryosurgery. I had a biopsy that made me cry. The cryo was a breeze. They are just freezing off cells. I was fine as I left the office. Just a little upset because of the anticipation of it all. You are over the biggest hurdle. Good Luck. Don't lose sleep.
