I think the milk snake. A friend of mine just bought a new house and had one on her stairs. Her sister came upon it and it lunged at her, like it was protecting the house. Not sure what that is all about, but it sounded like it was acting aggressively. People have ball pythons as pets all the time, so they must not be all that aggressive.

It depends on the snake but i think that the ball python is less aggresive than the milk snake.

I've had both as captive bred, and have seen some individuals of both species that can be aggressive, but I'd have to say I've seen a greater percentage of milk snakes show aggressive behavior than ball pythons. A lot depends on how much they're handled as young snakes.

my husband and i have both (plus many other snakes) and personally our (and our friends) milk snakes are more aggressive then a ball python. none of our snakes have ever showed aggression in a negative way, but the snakes that we have that grow to be smaller (like a milk) show more aggression then the ones that tend to grow larger (python). when we reach in the tank to get the milk he tries to hide under his log, but if we reach in to get our python he just lays there and doesn't try to wander away.

milk snake. ball pythons are the least aggressive snakes you can get. milk snakes are gentle, but ball pythons are as harmless as oxygen

Neither snake is very aggressive towards humans, but in general, milk snakes are more aggressive in that they are snake eaters and actively go after prey. They will happily eat rodents, but other snakes are very high on their menu.
