Here's the dealio... I used my computer on a wireless network last friday without any problems, since then however, although no changes have been made, it has refused to connect. It keeps saying that there are no wireless networks in range. I can connect through ethernet though. My husbands computer detects a lot of wireless networks, but none with our networks name. There is one with 5 bars that says linksys.... Is it possible that our wireless router could have reset itself? One way or another, I would like to know how to fix it. Thanks!!!

Try this: While watching the list of available networks, unplug your router's power cord. If the Linksys one goes away (your router IS a Linksys, isn't it?), that's it.

If you are running a Linksys WiFi router, then that's the network you should connect to. If not, then someone is running one really close to you.

If you would like to do a little looking around in your wifi settings, just right click the network icon in the tray and open the connection dialog.

If you are using and external modem here is what to do. Unplug all of the wires from it wait a moment and then plug the wires back in. You may need to to the same thing with the router as well.

go to your router's config page (192.168.0.1 or the like) and run the setup/wizard again.
