Understand that most nudists don't care about what people think of their bodies, and they have no shame over it. This extends to any imperfections they might have. For example, they wouldn't care so much if you think they're overweight, and they're not going to be shamed into losing that weight either. It's all around no shame whatsoever. In a way it's freeing, but at the same time, some people could do with just a tad of caring what others think!
When I went to a nude beach, I did notice that there were twice as many men as women on the beach, but they weren't oggling. I get the impression that it's moreso that men appreciate the "freedom" of nudity more than women, perhaps because they feel more 'constricted' in their clothing. I don't know, it's kind of a guy thing. I had to struggle to keep my boys dressed when they were toddlers!

b/c people with great bodies don't want to be oogled at all day by all the unattractive people that should NOT be naked but are on the beach.
