Help w/ compress old files?

i just ran disk clean up and selected compress old files. when my machine restarted all my files,folders pics, music, and settings was gone. i searched for some specific things and they are still on the hard drive. so i need to know how to restore them or decompress old files.

Go to the C:/ folder - right click and uncheck the box marked "compress drive" and then reboot. That should do it.

Dude once your hard drive is compressed there is nothing you can do unless you completely reformat your PC.
