Mt. Everest can fit once into the Mariana Trench and there will still be a mile of water over it!

Well, Mt. Everest is 29,029 ft, while the Mariana Trench is 36,201 feet deep. Divide Mariana Trench depth by the MT. Everest height, and you get:

36,201/29,029

1.247 Times MT Everest fits in the Mariana Trench

f Mount Everest, which is the tallest point on earth at 8,850 meters (29,035 feet), were set in the Mariana Trench, there would still be 2,183 meters (7,166 feet) of water left above it. so one Mt Everest would fit in the Mariana Trench.
