ok...first, there is no "why", he was crazy. yes i said it. i know its not "politically correct", but that guy was defective, and thats that. grow up, and accept the fact that some that walk among us are bad, horrrible souls...and therapy, reaching out, hand holding and fear of offending people is creating a perfect environment for evil to exist. the fact that students at tech put a 33rd memorial stone out is a perfect example of how passive we are. WHY ????he was responsible, a murderer, who took 32 lives and punked his way out when the law was closing in.yet some feel that hes a "victim" too? NO. i live in bburg and have always been a hokie.... and i understand the need 4 the community to want to help. but why should millions of dollars be raised for these families when senseless killings happen every day ... my mother was murdered 6 years ago.... a good friend was shot to death in a parking lot 15 yrs ago.... 19 year old kids die EVERY DAY overseas... whats happening to our country?

Look, it all starts with the family. That kid's family did not care for him properly, that's why he ended up the way he did and why he did what he did. If people would PARENT their kids proper, this would not happen as often. There are a million resources for any health problem you have, so there is no excuse for this to continue. His parents did not parent him. Just be a good person, and raise your kids proper and pay them proper attention. Raise them to be good citizens. It's over, let's let it rest and give respect to those who are left to survive the aftermath of what has been done.

...whats happening to our country?

It's the world and widespread lack of personal responsibility is catching up with us. All the wrong people are making decisions and the sheep just get driven into oblivion. Things will get better, society just needs to be jolted from its stupor. What ever was up with Cho, clearly something psychological, was not treated properly. There were warning signs and no one stepped up and took responsibility. Yes Cho carries responsibility but we also turned a blind eye, hence he was able to purchase firearms, and 33 lives were wasted. I've got friends enrolled there and I am very involved in mental health matters. The support that Cho needed and that would have prevented the carnage at Va Tech isn't easy to find. Irresponsible bureaucracy and finger pointing allows this kind of stuff to keep happening.

Well, I am very sad for the families that lost friends and family on that day, but you are right that it is unfair to all those who are affected by killings and they don't see a dime.

I hope that peace comes to this world soon. But, instead of grieving about the losses, we should work hard to bring peace to the world.
