Spudds you are ignorant if you honestly think that Vick didn't know about what was going on. And to say that it is different cause they are just dogs? Get a clue dude. You must a DUMB Vick Sympathizer in Atlanta. I live here and there are tons of them. Bottom line Mike did fight dogs he knew about it, he has lied to the commish about it and he should be gone from the league. The Falcons shouldn't trade Vick the owners need to band together and say we won't put up with this, and tell Blank cut him and we won't pick him up. Let his sorry *** go play canadien ball with Ricky Williams.

I don't see why not. Vick has always had talent, and it was just this year he showed how he has matured in his playing ability. The only thing I am concerned about is whether or not he will be durable over time. This season he did suffer from injuries which isn't uncommon. But as you can see, it slowed him down and his production. I don't think this season was a fluke. He played well in many ways. Vick of course ran the ball effectively which is what he does, and he seemingly mastered the passing aspect. He's become a more complete QB. Will he have another good year? I say yes because he does have a decent receiving group around him, and defenses are still a bit troubled when it comes to stopping him.

Well they went ahead and traded their second-string Matt Schaub to the Texans.. I think they made that move as much as a vote of confidence in Mike Vick as anything else. There is no way to trade with a team and get equal value for VIck... unless you could swap him for Peyton Manning there would be no point. Mike Vick has reached his potential as a player. If he continues to listen to the crap about him needing to become more of a pocket passer he will lose the big play making ability that got him to the NFL in the first place...plus if there is no Vick in Atlanta, why would anyone buy season tickets. The team will live and die by him for the next 5 years... he is not trade-able at this point.

Let vick make the mistake of dropping the soap... in jail... Anyway, Vick should be traded for a QB and WR. THe reason Matt Schaub didn't play is because the Falcons felt obligated to have their former #1 pick even if he runs better than he throws... which is what a running back is for, not a quaterback.

Who would want him? What could they get? At best a CONDITIONAL draft pick, that would be on the Condition he isn't kicked out of the league this year or next. So no value for starters. Second the team that would take him on that deal, saying the Falcons would agree, would have him for 2 years(if he stayed in the league) before they have to give up the pick. So now the Falcons would REALLY look like fools. Now if you had asked last year, I'd say give Shaub a chance. Had you said it shortly after they gave up Shaub THEN I would have said yes, although they would have still had a hard time making a deal.
ADD: Wow spudds you are an idiot. Actually you somewhat answered yourself. They AREN'T our equals. We are OVER dogs. That means we are to protect them. Do you need me to go on to understand that? People who CHOSE to fight is fine. Hey if people want to go watch a knife fight and both people want to go at it like that then fine. People want to watch Boxing, UFC, whatever else then that is fine. It is two combatants that are CHOOSING to get in a fight. They aren't doing anything to these two people to MAKE them. These people aren't being BREED to fight. They aren't raised to fight from the time they were kids. They are two HUMANS making a choice. Now these dogs aren't given an option or making a conscious decision. They are breed and raised to be fighters. They are raised in cages too small and they are malnourished. They fight because it is all they can do. They are treated poorly. They don't get medical attention if they need it. They are pumped full of drugs to get them to fight harder and really try to tear each other apart.

if they can get any value for him, or if any team wants him, yes. they have a few good backups right now in joey harrington, chris redman and dj shockley. none of them are nearly as good as michael vick, but they don't have off the field issues, and are decent qbs.
look for the falcons to try to get brian brohm from louisville next year (bobby petrino was his coach the last 3 years) the falcons will probably not have a top pick next year, so they will probably have to trade up for him, but i think it would be worth it.

Who could afford to take a chance on him? With the dollar amount he commands plus the high probability of charges being filed plus the commissioners hard line on off field antics, what team can afford to invest in him right now?
Even if Atlanta wanted to trade him, no one would take him.

No, they should HAVE. It's too late now. They won't get any thing for him. Even without all the allegations, he's way over paid and over rated. Nobody wants him. The Falcons were a bunch of suckers for giving him that contract.

i would if i could this would be a good chance for detroit to get a qb and then they can have kevin jones and him back there like vtech days when they ruled college football about the whole dog thing make him pay his fines for it and keep him under close supervision that he doesnt do it again and if he gives names go easy on him not that what he did is ok but if he gives names to stop other people why not it is cruel what he did and i would never do it or watch it but they are just dogs that he owned man people watch ucf and people get knocked out off there feet so u tell me the difference in us fighting each other and dogs who are def not our equals
does my statement ne where say i didnt think he did it i believe he did it and people who fight are def breed to fight believe me all these guys who fight on tv were all bad kids growing up had to learn to fight to make it most fighters are comin from low income neighborhoods so dont tell me people arent breed from lil to be a fighter if u can name one fighter who was not into trouble or had money than u can tell me people arent breed to be a fighter
