i just changed the water in my fish tank so i could move it. i took out 2/3 of the water i have a 55 gallon tank. how long does it take for the oxygen level to build so i can take my african chiclids out of the emergency tank. thank you

MM has the right answer, so long as the temperature and you dechlorinated the water, it's the same as a water change. In water changes of course, you don't want to take the fish out. You can replace them as soon as the move is effected. Oxygenation shouldn't be an issue. Just move the tank and set everything up as you had it in the past. Nice call from MM on this.

If you have dechlorinated the new water when you added it to your 55 gallon you can move your fish back in as soon as the water temperature is ok for them. The oxygen levels will be fine from the moment it leaves the tap.

let me tell you something VERY IMPORTANT fish are not used to the water changes that quick it take a long time for oxygen level to build up and the fish will be uncomfortable you should from now on change the water little by little or else the fish would die (this happened to me before it was disgusting)

1 full night just wait till tommorow morning and make sure you keep a lid on the emergancy tank today when i was cleaning my tank i left the cap off and 2 of them jumped out and 1 died :( very sad! R.I.P freddy jr.
