My family backround is from almost everything under the sun and people ask what race I am, what should I tell them? I can pass as white, Latino and sometimes middle eastern (even though my family is not at all from the middle east). So what should I see?

When people ask I tell them I am Heinz 57 variety American, meaning lots of different but valued races and backgrounds from all my ancestors are what makes me special.

A person, unless they are close and know you well, should not be asking what your race is. I find the question in itself predjudical, insulting, and very socially inappropriate (nosey).

Ask your parents or Grandparents what race they relate to mostly...or try to narrow it down to their birthplaces or go by last names.
Otherwise - just tell people you are a UN (United Nations) baby.

sweety you are mixed, as simple as that, say that your father is from this race and your mother is from that but their backgrounds are all over the place. i'm mixed myself and i love it! i dont know if you view this as good or bad but i hope you see it as a positive. that's how i answer when they ask me! good luck!!

If someone asks "What race are you?", your response to them should be, "Why are you asking?" Some people are impolite & nosy.
