I'm about to watch Pan's Labyrinth with my cousin-who's ten. So I'm just wondering, for those of you who have seen the movie:
Is the movie scary to watch at all?
I've heard it's violent and possibly gory, is that true?
Are there any frightening or sudden scenes if you remember that we can look out for?

I am usually pretty liberal in what my 10 yo daughter watches, but I'm glad i didn't let her see that...it's pretty graphic and not at all good for kids to see esp. if they are prone to nightmares.

No sudden scenes, but very graphic violence.

I enjoyed Pans Labyrinth. there have been some aspects that would have been edited out yet tutor me a action picture that doesn't. i can't stand how human beings will look at an exceptionally good action picture and not get it, then bypass and watch some stupid predictable comedy action picture and prefer it. I swear some all of us is merely stupid, no longer that i'm calling you stupid or something. i've got seen human beings watch the Godfather and unlike, yet love Knocked Up. i don't get it.

It is NOT appropriate for a 10 year old. There is a lot of violence and gore, yes. A woman cuts open a man's cheek with a knife, there's a scene where a man has his head bashed in with a broken bottle.. it is not scary, but it is rated R for a reason-- it isn't a children's story.

1. the entire movie is in spanish (if u didnt know)
2. the entire movie is extremely gory and you cant avoid the blood and violence.
3. it is not necessarily scary, but it is rated R for a reason. It is not suitable for 10 yr olds.

That said...it is still a good movie if you aren't sensitive to blood.

Yeah there are parts with killing and torture throughout the movie. Not so sure if a ten year old should watch it. It was a good movie though.

Do NOT let your cousin watch it. It shows people being shot, beaten, and stabbed. On this one part this guy got his mouth slit open on the side. It's rated R for a reason.

I have not watched it, but I have seen screenshots and articles on it. The screenshots were of monsters in the movie. They were quite realistic and gory. I read an article and to my understanding, here stepfater beats her mother. It said there was a spine chilling scene of a beating. I wuld not recommend it. But, take it from someone who has seen it.

I've heard that all of those things are true. Some of the characters are a bit creepy, so you might want to watch out for them too.

Hope you like it though! =]
