Of those four--a clown, it's the only one that is alive. A dummy is a type of puppet and so like a puppet, it requires a puppeteer. A doll also requires someone or other to manipulate it or play with it.
But there is absolutely no one else required to make a clown a living, breathing human being capable of all things living and breathing human beings are capable of.
Whether or not a person in a clown suit does not matter to me. Alive is much more scary than inanimate objects. Now...a manikin might freak me out, but only until I realized that it's not a real person.
Of course, since I am a puppeteer, I understand that people are often freaked out by them. One time, when someone came to stay at my place, I set up a cot in my craft room and pointed every head I had at the pillow of the cot. She thought is was pretty funny. Your question makes me think the better joke would've been to turn the heads at night while she was asleep. Would've worked too...she's a sound sleeper.

Clown with a ventriloquist's dummy on his lap. They are equally scary but together would be over the top insane! It's the disgusting white makeup (clown) and bad vaudeville jokes coming from a disembodied mouth (dummy).

Puppets are cute.

I'm going to say Clown, Puppet and Dummy. All three of them scare the hell out of me. Dolls don't really, as long as they aren't demonic looking.
And why am I so afraid of them? I have no clue, lol. Always have been.

I would find a clown the most frightening, as, logically, it would mean a human being was in the room, and people are scary. I have no fears of inanimate objects, so the rest wouldn't bother me. : )

(In fact, right next to my bed I have a six-foot tall animated Edwardian butler from Walmart. He can talk and breath and laugh when you walk by him, but I don't leave him plugged in because the dog sets him off all night.)

I would have to say a clown. Those weirdos with weird paintings all over their faces, always way to happy and optimistic, they are wack jobs man. They need to go and never come back. Oh, I hate those things, they creep me out sooo bad.

I think all of them are scary, but I would have to choose the clown. Its something about the nose. A orange or red nose just isnt natural
