OMG all the time. Our son is 3yo and I have gotten him all the old DIsney cartoons on DVD that I used to have on tape. I cry in "Fox and the Hound" when the old lady gets Todd after his mom dies AND when she takes him back to the wild. I cry in "Bambi" of course, when his mom is shot. I cry BAD in "Dumbo"when the mean kids make fun of him, then his mom kicks *** and gets locked in that train car and he's sad. Hmm, I am sure there are more, but those are the biggies. And I cannot watch "Where the Red Fern Grows" or "Old Yeller" or read them. I can watch people getting killed / tortured all day, I love scary movies, but when it comes to animals, I am a BIG softie. We have 4 housecats, a rescue Rottweiler and an adopted Beagle/Husky mix and foster animals. Interesting ?

Oh...The Lion King...first time I ever saw anything about it was in Walt Disney World. They had just opened the show that was behind the castle. There was an outer room that had a part cartoon / part live show that led to the staged show. It was the part where Simba is born and is held up for all of the animals to bow down to.....the music was swelling in the background.. "The Circle of Life"...and Rafiki held up the cub and it just got to me. Then, we saw the live show and after the movie came out and I saw the part where his dad is killed.....oh, it made me a mess!

Oh Gosh no. But when I turned 33 I was home and watching an old Wonder Years Rerun and Winnie Cooper broke up with Kevin Arnold. Kevin tried to be brave but his father saw through it. While standing their with his feelings on his sleeve Kevin's father reached out and grabbed Kevin into his arms to let Kevin have a good cry.

I developed a lump in my throat. I never have before. I became of age where I developed almost human feelings.

But no to the cartoons.

I think I cried while watching King of the Hill once. I must've been having a PMS moment.

Most of the Disney movies -- especially Bambi -- have brought a tear or two.

Oh yes, Nester the long-eared donkey! It's so sad when the mother protects her donkey from the snow by laying on him and in the morning he discovers she gave her life for him. That's true love and even tho it's a cartoon the meaning hits close to home.
