people have also consented to assisted suicide.

have you seen the injuries from these sports (boxing, wrestling, ufc)? this can technically be defined as animal cruelty as well.

think about why boxers box & wrestlers wrestles & fighters fight. there's not much "choice" involved. let's define what these athletes do as their job. do u have much "choice" of what to do on ur job? no, u don't.

this question requires much critical thinking, which obviously all answerers so far are lacking.

slavery is actually the best way to run a country, economically, & yeah, im black.

the problem is that slavery is inhumane, and slaves were humans. an issue of humanity, and not that of andministrating the states.

I don't like boxing or wrestling, but the difference is that you have two consenting contestors. Rooster and dog fighting are just animal cruelty.

Dog/rooster fighting takes the normal process of nature, amplifies the variables and circumstances, and creates a entertainment and gaming venue without the full consent of the participants. The only difference here with other kinds of animal competition (horse races, rodeo, shows), is that the competition is always seriously dangerous to both animals.

Because humans are able to consent to anything, (including in some states, murder) the idea of a HIGHLY regulated sport where medical attention is available and very affordable is a little less hard to imagine.

It has to do with how people view animals. Some societies and countries do not respect animals or think they need to be treated fairly. It is those people who find pleasure in such things. And of course there are those people who simply enjoy seeing other living things suffer. There are a fair number of sick people around.

5+5 takes critical thinking if you don't know math.if you are not an educated person you wouldn't see the answer to this question.why would you defend this? humans evolve.things we used to see as entertaining are no longer legal dog fighting is one of those things and if you don't get that then it is a problem you have.we used to own slaves in the u.s. but people realized that it problem wasn't the best way to run a country.like i said people evolve if they are educated.some times in cases like this common sense would tell you this is wrong, but i have answered allot of questions like this, and apparently there are allot of people who have none

In wrestling and boxing the humans are making a conscientious decision to fight. They are not put in cages before their fights, poked and proded and withheld food. Wrestlers have a choice into what they are getting themselves into while animals are not given the same choice.

It was not that long ago when if you wanted to see boxing you would have to ride a ferry or a barge to take you out in the water because it was illegal in the U.S. to box.

The animals frequently beat each other to death, or serious maiming occurs.
