Go on www.youtube.com
Its the easiest thing to do
In the search bar just type in the name of the artist and the song and most likely theyll have it. It might not be the real video to the song but the song is still there.

I can't believe nobody mentioned live365. You might not be able to find the exact song you are seeking when you want it, but they have a ton of stations that you will most likely find something you like. You can also try some online college radio stations. http://www.relaxonline.com/radio/

theres launchcast but the bad thing about it is you gotta listen to 30 sec ads and you can only skip 5 songs an hour but other than that its pretty cool they got 80's music that i like

Try www.last.fm
There's songs you can download for free (legally) and some artists choose to let users listen to entire tracks.

If last.fm isn't your thing, try www.pandora.com
It'll play songs by an artist and songs similar to those artists.

And of course, there's always myspace. You won't be able to find every song, but they're in their entirety and free.

You can go to MySpace and try it. Sometimes the musician will have a download-able song.
