Furthermore, I was wondering what is the significants factors of the AMD semphron 2600. In addition, I also wondering if this processor is capable of burning more electricity than the other processors previously mentioned?

Intel and AMD are the world's largest suppliers of central processing unit (CPU). Sempron is the low end CPU series manufactured by AMD, while Celeron is the low end CPU series manufactured by Intel. In the case of Sempron, AMD took its main CPU series, Athlon XP, and stripped away some advanced features to create Sempron (e.g. a smaller L1 cache). Intel did the same with their Pentium CPU and stripped it down to create Celeron. These CPU are found in budget desktop and laptop computers. The 2600 in AMD Sempron 2600 refers to the speed of the processor. 2600 is rather low. In tests conducted by PC World Magazines, Sempron under performed its comparable older sibling by 15-20%. As for whether they use less power, I can't say.

Those processors are both low-cost/low-power consumption models. They are cheap to build and don't use much energy. AMD and Intel use them to fuel the very low end of the market in places where low-power and not a huge need for speed is ideal, ie. the most basic home computers, computerized registers, kiosks, etc. I have used the S754 Sempron in a simple file server that I built, and it worked perfectly. I was more than happy with what the processor could handle. Running XP Pro with 1.5GB of RAM, integrated video and a network accessed 2TB RAID 5, it performed better than I thought it would. I don't know what you mean about burning more electricity; it really doesn't consume that much power. I think the thermal dissipation for that particular CPU was ~35W. I'm not sure, but it ran nice and cool with the stock heatsink.

Intel is a much better end processor, and better fee. AMD is low fee, and commonly around the laptop worldwide have a bad popularity. on the different I run AMD without a hitch, basically had one problem with they took care of in the present day . they say AMD can no longer compete with i7 nevertheless.

Intel (celerons included) and AMD processors are much alike, it depends on what the exact model number it is if you want to compare them.

There are also differences like weather a cpu is single core, dual core, or quad core (intel is the only one with quad at the moment, but amd is working on it)

The cpus power consumption goes up with the speed its clocked at. The faster the processor the more power it will need, but I dont recommend changing the power your motherboad gives it, as this can damage it and void the warenty.
