some "preppy" brands are polo, lacoste & american eagle. The look typically consist of khaki's a button down shirt or a polo shirt with the collar turned up and a pair of cool sandals or some keds tennis shoes. You can add a trendy pair of shades to complete the look or a puca shell necklace or bracelet or even a wooden choker would look nice. Just have fun with it, look at various vogue for men or details magazines to get you started :)

the people that have answered so far don't know what they're talking about. sure, i wear a&f once in a while, but it isn't preppy. neither is hollister stores in that category. preps don't wear clothes that are see through, mind you. try J crew or ralph lauren if you want that classic prep look. their clothes are stunning. preps all the way brooo. :] btw, you aren't considered a prep just because you wear collared shirts and sweaters. you have to have gone to a prep school, and play tennis or lacrosse. where you summer plays a big part in it too. so being a hardcore prep, isn't all that easy.
