No as long as you are the one working for the nice things you want.

No, it's not selfish. Everybody wants to have nice stuff. It becomes selfishness when you start ignoring or hurting the people you love to get the stuff!!

Like.. If it is your dad's birthday, and you use the last of your money to get yourself something nice.. Then it would be selfish.

Not at all. Having nice stuff is what keeps the world going round. When you purchase something nice, a signal is sent to commercial organizations to make more high quality things and to find a way to raise the quality of the things they produce. Advancements are made, and the world becomes a higher quality place. Don't get me wrong, altruism has its place, but so does buying the things that make you happy.

It depends on what you consider "nice stuff." If you're floating on credit because you want to have "nice stuff", you may want to ask yourself how this is going to effect you in the long run.

You can have "nice stuff" secondhand if you're not too proud. There are many thrift stores and consignment shops where you can purchase quality merchandise in mint condition at a fraction of the cost you'd spend if you bought it brand new.

No it's not. Cause to want to have nice stuff is not selfish. Everyone wants nice stuff. But the moment you become proud of them and didn't want anyone to have it except you, then you will be selfish

No its not selfish. I think it is awful to say someone is selfish if they want nice things. We all deserve nice things, but thats not how the world works unfortunately!

Nope, not selfish. What would be selfish is wanting nice stuff but not willing to work for it yourself.

ABSOLUTELY NOT is it selfish to want "nice stuff." - ALTHOUGH, it does become an issue when you become overly consumed by getting more of it and you neglect others in your attempt to gain it.
When you earn the funds to afford the "nice stuff" then BY ALL MEANS "dole" yourself and those who you hold dear with the rewards of it.

It's not wrong to want nice things, because a lot of people do...it's just wrong to want it so much that you don't care about anything else. But there's nothing wrong with wanting it, as long as you work hard for it and don't get greedy.
