I guess I meant pure passer by arm strength, tight spirals, quick release etc; I know Jeff George was not a winner in fact he was quite the opposite but to watch him throw it is a thing of beauty. No need to tell me that I am crazy if I asked who was the best QB for his team then it would be Montana or Aikman neither of which looked great to watch but they were winners & had the right mindset. As for Dan Marino,Dan Fouts, & Warren Moon how many championships do they have? to go with thier lofty stats.

Mr. Manning will have something to say on this when his book is closed. Jim Kelly always stuck the ball in the bullseye. Jeff George was not as consistant. Ken Anderson was a great passer, Ron Jaworsky had game. But, only us old guys know this, Johnny U could hit Raymond Berry through the kitchen window from 50 yards away, every time.

Well first of all what do you mean by "pure passer" Do you mean accuracy, mechanics, arm strength etc..? And first of All, Jeff George was not that great of a passer. Yes he had the tools to be a great passer, but it never came up in games on a consistent basis which is what the QB needs to do, or else we'd be saying people like Andre Ware, Art Schliester, and a bunch of other QB's who were good "passers" not good QB's.
Here's a list of aspects and fundementals of the passer and who did them the best because not one QB had everything:
Most Accurate: Joe Montana
Quickest Release: Dan Marino
Strongest Arm: Brett Favre
Best Field Awareness: Peyton Manning
Best Mechanics: Johnny Unitas
Most Athletic ( a pass first QB NOT a run first like Vick) Fran Tarkenton

I think Joe Montana was. A lot of people are saying Peyton but Manning has had Marvin Harrison his whole career. If you look at Montana he had two superbowl wins before Jerry Rice was a 49er so dont tell me he always had the greatest WR of all time.
There can be an arguement for Marino and Favre. Both have had great careers. Oh yeah dont forget about Tom Brady who has three rings, with very minimal talent at WR as well.

Sorry but the most Athletic QB was Randall Cunningham who when he got older and basically had to be a pocket passer he was still playing. Mostly because he still could.
Best as a pure Passer I do think Warren Moon has to be ranked up there. In part because he made his name in the CFL which is a mostly passing league. Can't win 5 Championships in a Passing league if you aren't a pure passer.

Jeff George. Are you freaking kidding me??? You should be banned from watching the NFL ever again. I can safely say that is the DUMBEST thing I have heard in a long time. You can make a lot of arguments for a lot of people (Kelly included0, but not George. EVER. End of story.
(deep breath)
Anyway, I would say either Johnny Hightops or Dan the Man.

Warren Moon-won 5 Grey Cups (in 1978, 1979, 1980 MVP, 1981 and 1982 MVP) the CFL equivalent of the Superbowl. Phenomenal regular season QB. In his final CFL season of 1983, Moon threw for a league record 5,648 yards, and won the CFL's Most Outstanding Player Award. 9 Pro bowls. He was inducted into the CFL Hall of Fame in 2001 and was elected into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2006, becoming both the first undrafted quarterback and the first African-American quarterback to be so honored. Tennessee retired his number Oct 1st 2006 and October 29th the Kansas City Chiefs also retired his number. Combining his NFL and CFL stats, Moon's numbers are staggering: 5,357 completions for 70,553 yards and 435 touchdowns, all of which are massively higher than the NFL records for each category. Even if his Canadian League statistics are discounted, Warren Moon's career is still exceptional: 3,988 completions for 49,325 yards (the fourth-highest in NFL history), 291 touchdown passes, 1,736 yards rushing, and 22 rushing touchdowns.

I watched them both quite a bit, and I couldn't tell you who was better, Dan Marino or Warren Moon. Sonny Jurgenson was pretty sweet, too. I would say Dan Fouts, but I hate him as an annoucer.

Jeff George??? OMG!!!
As far as I'm concerned, Dan Fouts and Dan Marino share that title. With Warren Moon coming in second.
Manning is going to be up there, but I won't be able to grade until his career os actually over.
