The rumor is Jermaine O'Neal to the Lakers for Lamar Odom, and Andrew Bynum. O'Neal is having some fairly serious off season surgery, and is a few years past his prime. Odom is a terrific all around talent who is capable of triple doubles, and is very underappreciated by a number of Lakers fan. Bynum has a TON of potential and could one day be an all-star. Not being a Lakers fan, I hope this deal goes through, because when the combination of Jermaine O'Neal and Bryant can't get out of the second round of the playoffs in the west, everyone in LA LA Land will be gnashing their teeth. I would feel bad for O'Neal if this happened, because he would get all the blame. Not the golden child, Kobe Bryant.

Yes and no. thats a good trade but not what they need the most they really need a point guard who could take the ball up and distribute and they need play as a team it cant be a one man show (no offense kobe they need to save his 50 point games for the playoffs and not waste it trying to clinch a 8 spot). Bynum is going to be a great player and is learning alot from his years from the lakers and kareem adul jabar. problem is that kobe will leave if you dont get talent now. Lakers choice keep kobe or Bynum

That's a good trade for the Lakers but not the Pacers- they already gutted themselves with the Golden State trade and they suffered for it. Bynum is a project;at least 3 years away from being an impact player. Odom is a good player but O'Neal for Odom is not going to help leave your O's where they are test the free agent market and draft well.

for the pacers this is the best trade they can do, O'neil is old and doin REALLY bad, Odom is old to, but Bynum is young, healthy and goin to be a great center.
