Actually, you are doing exactly what you need to do. Just keep writing. Maybe you are trying TOO hard.

Start by simply keeping a journal every day.

Next write an essay or two. Keep it to 250 to 500 words. Base it on something you know about.

Third, progress to a short story. Now try doing some creative story telling in 500 to 1000 words.

When you are really comfortable with your writing, progress to the novel. I like to use note cards. Write on one what you want your novel to be about. Next write a card for each of the major characters. What do they look like? What kinds of personalities do they have? And, so on.

With hard work, you will be a great writer!

Good luck.

Ha! I'm 14 too and also have that problem sometimes... only I get to page like 93 and THEN decide to stop and start another book! lol. What I tell myself is to just keep writing. My least favorite part is revising, but again, there are always ups and downs. Another idea, is to start in the middle or end of your story, or to write out of order. Some authors, like Margret Mitchel (Gone with the Wind) and Stephenie meyers (Twiligh) have done that. When you do this, it keeps you occupied and you don't get bored as easily, becaus stuff is always changing. Another thing that helps is to really get into your characters. I've found that if I REALLY LOVE my characters, I tend to like the story better, and I want to continue it. If I don't like them, or only like one or two, then I tend to not care as much.
Of course, what you're doing isn't wrong either. It's accually good, because it gives you a chance to write different situations with different characters and personalities. Don't feel discouraged. If you really want to finish your book you will, but you have to find the right plot, and match it up with the right characters. It's sort of like guess and check, luck and chance. Keep up the good work!

Start with a short story and write a little bit every day. Find something you like and write about it. Horror, Westerns, SciFi, Fantasy (like Harry Potter).

The first thing you need to do is take care of that spelling problem you have. It think it's mainly your typing more than the spelling.

Writing is not an easy task. Writing takes a lot of time and patience. A lot goes into a novel. There is research, an idea, a genre, grammar, spelling, dialogue, dialect, time, patience, letters to editors, publishers, literary agents.

I wish you well.

Sounds like your right where you need to be!
Keep up the good work and return to the novels you haven't finished often to see if they "speak" to you! The endings will come if you refuse to totally give up.

Have Fun with it Dear, Pandora

Maybe you should focus on short stories first. I started with short stories and moved on to novels years later when I was ready. Perfect your craft with short fiction!
