I didn't think anyone would have said Tool. I'm with jrsygrl on this one though. Tool is my fave too. Lotsa respect for U2 though, they've been making great songs for a long time.

This is a hard one, but I'm gonna go with The Kinks. They never stick to one style, very melodic, and their lyrics actually mean something. Everybody knows them from "You Really Got Me", but there is alot more to them. Just a great band.
