i can't get to the store, and my son's lizard is out of crickets. (he's a western whiptail)

He should be fine for a day or 2 without crickets. NEVER feed him insects that you capture outside, because you have no way of knowing what kind of parasites or chemicals they may have come into contact with.

I order my feeder bugs from reptilefood.com as well. I order in large quantities, and they are delivered the next day, no trip to the store necessary. And.....you'd be shocked at how much cheaper it is than buying a few at a time from a pet store.

Whiptails will eat most small insects- collect them from an area free of pesticides.

He should be fine for a few days. I order my crickets on line at www. reptilefood.com. Cheap and they deliver next day. :)

I am looking for lizard food too.
Well my Anole, a similar wild lizard, i think he ate cat nip.
I put meow mix in their, just one, 10 min later it was gone.
