Don't have a fish pond but have a large garden of Lilies, Hostas, Flox, Blue Bells, Daffodils, Tulips, Bleeding Hearts, Ferns, Lilac, Hollyhock, Giant irises, Lily of the Valley (pink&white), Sunflowers (for the birds), Marigolds,Fuscia in a pot, Coryopsis, Spiderwort, Mums, Petunias, Dahlias, Gladiolias, Calla Lillies, Spring Crocus, Allium, Clematis, Milkweed and several pots ot the plant that they make candles from that repels mosquitoes. I have taken advantage of mature Oak trees for partial shade and have flowers from early Spring until the frost kills the Mums off.
Our flowers are for the Hummingbirds, and native finches as well as Butterflies.
We have active nests of Eastern Bluebirds and a Carolina Wren in a box on the porch right now.
We feed the Woodpeckers year round and keep 2 birdbaths with fresh water.

yes and I actually drained, washed and cleaned it today and it will refill overnight as it is about 2,000 gallons (really Big) 4' deep 10 ft across one way and 6 the other. with a second smaller pond above with a big waterfall. Flowers and rock garden around it for about 1/2 acre and it is fenced and an egret keeps coming at daylight and eating the fish.

I`ve got a pond but don`t keep fish in it. It`s more a wildlife pond for the frogs and toads and anything else that finds it useful.

This year is going to be only weeds and rocks, no time to take care of it.
No fish pond but a lake with lot and lot of fishes and not to forget a beach.
