I'm sure your question is "who's the BEST actor in the world?" Judging by the response, I think the context of the question has been grossly misinterpreted. A lot of actors have been named, but they're primarily well exposed personalities. The BEST actor in the world right now is Gene Hackman. And he has been the best for quite some time.

I've only seen one movie with him in it (Blood Diamond), but I really like Djimon Hounsou. He was in Gladiator, also, and I think Amistad, but I'm not sure. He's sooooo hot and incredibly talented. He has such a striking face that can show every emotion from extreme sadness and despair to elation in the extreme to absolute fury. Not everyone can pull that off.
