Going strictly by meridians all of Florida should be in the Central Time Zone, but the railroads wanted all of the US east coast to be in the same time zone every location west of Washington, DC located on the east coast was dumped into the Eastern Time Zone, which, of course includes all of Florida except a few counties in the Florida panhandle. The standard meridian for the Central Time Zone would be 75 degrees W longitude. All of Florida is west of 80 degrees W longitude.

They are one hour ahead of Central time which includes Chicago and Dallas
They are two hours ahead of Mountain Time which includes Albuquerque, El Paso, and Denver.
They are three hours ahead of Pacific Time which includes Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Seattle.
