I mean we all know its sick to try and mess with a 13 yr old etc. But, these guys are lured in with all kinds of bait. I don't think some of them would even do it if they weren't lured. Alot of older men have fantasies of messing with younger girls (maybe not 13, but like 17 or 18), however guys usually dont' act on it, but its tempting to a lot of men and I was just wondering what your opinions are on this.

NO, i am not into 13 yr old girls, that is plain sick. I am not condoning the act, I am simply saying they lure them in. I 'm sure its fine legally to catch them that way, but it seems they try and tempt them sometimes when they may not act.

I think its a good thing, since kids are involved. I thinks its kind of bogus when police act like prostitutes and drug dealers to lure people.

Well not a entrapment more like enticing the person cause they tell the predator on line that they are 13 years old and if the male still pursues the chatting and falls for the bait then the Police have done there job and so has MSNBC.

It isn't entrapment because the predator makes the first advance online. The people chatting online only respond to the predators first move.

Entrapment is illegal and can open up the door to multi-million dollar lawsuits. NBC never would have allowed it if that was the case.

Second, those men didn't just have fantasies. They attempted to act on them. Think about what would have happened if they had come into contact with a particularly naive (or stupid) thirteen year old who agreed to meet up with them in real life. Scary.

No.

I'm 38, and I dont fantasize about the girls my sons are dating, that's just sick.

Any man who's ever dated a woman who's been sexually abused will tell you the same thing. These men are perverts, and need to be locked up away from decent people.

I wouldn't mind tossing the key away on some of these SOBs

Yes, but in a good way. It doesn't matter if the guys don't act on it, if they're flirting and trying to get sex from a minor that is absolutely disgusting and they deserve to be caught and humiliated for that. Solution: flirt with people your own age. It's really that simple.

Yes, I agree and then I think they trick them into talking about it before they reveal that they are on tape. I'm not saying they don't deserve it though. Apparently it holds up in court because here in Florida they are prosecuting.

No, I don't think that it is. They are doing the right thing by arresting those sick people who are going to have sex with children.
