If it is a electric fuel pump, it "may" be there, I did an 86 escort that when the brake lights were on the pump would not get enough amps, and the fuel pressure loss would shut the car off. Everything tested well, but I happened to hit the brakes with the pressure gauge connected, and found the answer by accident.

Not much info to work with here, but I suspect the idle is too low. Maybe the A/C idle up solenoid is inop, w/engine running turn A/C on/off to see if it moves.

You have an small leak at the engine's intake manifold, when you apply the brake, when coming to stop, then the brake system use more vaccum out of the engine, and then ,the engine die.

probably need to clean the throttle body, there is a what we call a "butterfly" in there that is getting stuck and causing the engine to die when you come to a stop, i bet if you give it gas the engine stays going-it probably has a lot of gunk built up on it
