I need to enable the TCP/IP, but can't do it because it's not in the network connections area on my control panel. It used to be there, but it disappeared 3 weeks ago and I haven't been able to connect to the internet since.

If its not showing up in the network connections it probably has some error withe the hardware. Look in your device manager under network adapters to see if you are having a hardware error. You might need to reinstall the drivers. Also make sure your USB port is working by looking in device manager also.
