My mom calls me every few months because it's an overseas phone call that would cost me too much money, which I don't have.
My dad hasn't called me in almost two years.
As you can see, we're a very close family unit which was destroyed many years ago through adultery & divorce.

I talk to my mom at least once a week (we live in different states and do not see each other often). I talk to my dad if he answers the phone when I call.
