Okay, I got this crappy 300 dollar computer for my birthday and it only has about 200mb RAM. Should I buy more RAM or just save up and buy a new and better computer with more RAM?

P.S. I dont have job so It'll prolly take a year...or two.

You can probably find cheap ram at a local refab shop that will make the machine run faster. Depending on how old it is, I wouldn't spend a lot on ram. Take the unit with you to make sure you have bought the right kind. Ram is always a good purchase. When you buy a new computer buy the most you can. Save up for the new one and spend just a little bit on a RAM upgrade to get you through until you can buy the new computer.

I would save to buy a computer, but you should look around with your friends or family, if they are throwing away a pc because it doesnt work or anything, or even at school, if you find a computer that is just there, open it up and take the ram and put on your computer

if your not running HUGE applications (like video editors or graphics programs... stuff like that) and not planning to upgrade to windows vista then i suggest you can keep it where it is it. But , i was at the same spot you were at a while back and wanted more speed. 512 MB ram should do it for an upgrade... nothing goes slow on my comp. ne more (even big programs) and it cost about 75 bucks.

Hope this helps

ANYTHING..... worth having...... IS WORTH... WORKING.... FOR!

NO..... Wining!

GET... A Job..... Save your Money! ..... Do your Research... on which ONE YOU WANT? And then.... BUILD... ONE.... INSTEAD!

4-Gig of Ram.... shoud be Enough for any application.... Cad or Games!
