Ok, I've known him for a LONG time like since we were both 13. He's grown into an extremely handsome man. He's over six feet tall thin but muscular and the nicest guy in the entire world. The problem is he doesn't know anything about clothes. He has these favorite shirts and drab khaki shorts that he wears over and over and over again. His mom asked me to take him shopping for new clothes cause the old ones don't fit him anymore (he's a growing boy lol lol). She's tried and just gave up on him when he told her he likes th clothes he has. I generally don't shop that much but this is an opportunity of a lifetime to help him pick out some cool new summer clothes and have someone else pay for them. What can I do to get him to ditch the old clothes that are getting really too small for him.

honestly boys do out grow this boring blah trend. My brother used to be the same way. same stupid denim shorts, nike brand t-shirt and ball cap every single day. As he got older, and through college, he started to dress nicer. And now has become quite the clothes horse. My best advice is to give him advice, with out really coming out saying it. It is kind of hard to explain. Don't try to push him in any one direction. He should come around. If it worked with my brother it will work with your fiance. My bro is now a brooks brothers devotee....He looks like the sharp doctor he is going to be in a few years.

buy him nice ones that u like to see him in but more importantly that he will like himself. comfort is important to guys & shouldnt be sacrificed or else he wont wear them at all. i think the clothes he wears shouldnt be so important to u so if u let him know in a positive way that, u think a particular style looks hot on him, he will be flattered and want to please u at the same time. vs if u say honey ur clothes are ugly and boring, then he will say hey this is me, im not changing, lol. most guys just dont care about what they wear suprisingly. in fact ill bet that u could just go to anchor blue pick him out a bunch of screen tees in his size and he will be just as happy as if he he picked them out himself without of course the effort so hell be even more happy. most guys dont like shopping either.

Just buy him new pants or shirts that are his size that are similiar to his existing style. You can't change his style; only he can do that. Check out run of the mill department stores and he might see something he likes.
