I like my doctor alot& i think he knows it.I know it's unethical 4 him to date his patients & that he could loss his license.I'm willing change doctors if i know he is interested. But i want to know what he thinks without making a fool of myself.I also want to know if he's married.I ve not seen a ring on his finger& i ve checked 4 it.I think he maybe attracted to me but again it maybe my wishful thinking. So tell me what you think about his body language. He likes to talk about my culture because i'm not from this country.I always ask for the last appointment so i can spend more time with him.4 my last Appt we spend 1hr30mins in his office talking about nothing(we were flirting).he is irresistable. He usually leans forward toward me when writing prescriptions. We ve awkward moments(gazing into eachother).he always walks me out & stands so close i feel his breathe, our bobies are literally touching as we stand.I'm 12yrs youger than him.i want him so much. How can i approach him?

I truly hope he is not married because he never wears his ring. i do not want to jump to conclusion but i beleive he wants me too nut of course he will not ask me to change doctors first. what do you think i should do with out making a fool of myself.

Am I reading too much into his actions. I want to let him know how i feel about him but i'm scared of making a fool of myself. I know he will not approach me because i'm his patient so i have to make the move here. If he likes me i will change to another doctor so i don't jeopardize his job.

Do you think that the code if ethics will not make it possible even if i change doctors...

i'm afraid of asking him myself..

I day dream about him.ANY ADVICE PEOPLE

Does any one know what the code of ethics say and can doctor date former patients.

I doubt he would lose his license if you two started dating. It might be frowned upon but he wouldn't lose his license unless it was causing him to not perform his job effectively or negatively. Think there would have to be something big to happen for him to lose his license. However, it may mess up his reputation(because you're 12 years younger than him) which is just as bad for a doctor. You could just come out and ask him lol. It won't hurt anything. Especially if you were just talking in his office and flirting. Sounds like you're relationship is already unprofessional so you might as well just flat out ask him. What's so bad that could happen? Nothing. Also since you're in his office, why don't you look around for pictures? If he doesn't have any of a woman or him with a woman than he most likely isn't married.

If you're really that afraid to ask him then maybe you're seeing the wrong picture. Maybe he isn't interested in you. Maybe he is but doesn't care to approach you simply because he doesn't personally believe in dating his patients. Maybe he likes you but you're not his type or he doesn't like to date women that are that much younger than him. When you have a crush/feelings for someone it can really make you see and notice things that aren't really there.

You don't say what kind of doctor he is. It is common for a woman to have a crush on her psychologist because he talks about her and it is remarkably similar to the emotional intimacy and bonding that occurs between two interested parties such as lovers.
Generally, it is not wise to get invovled with your doctor. If you must, though, find another doctor once you let him know you want to date him.

to find out if he is married, ask him. Just ask him. You could find out the hard way, by doing a background check, but that could cost money. Just ask him. Be honest about your interest in him.

For around 50 collars, you Can do a background check on him. It is will say if he's married. However, sex is not love, and if he were interested, he would have asked you out. He might be attracted and confused now. He might not want to date someone younger and from a different ethnicity. Why not just simply ask him out, once you check his marital status. Over dinner, you can determine where or not he's a possible mate.

So is this doctor your shrink, or MD? I know that if he is your shrink he had better wise up because he can lose his license if you guys start messing around. This type of thing happens a lot with clients becoming attracted to their therapists, be careful. It is another issue all it's own. You need to evaluate what you are really feeling, and address that. Like are you attracted to him because he listens, and is compassionate? Think about this truthfully. If you still think it is a genuine attraction ask him if he is married, and if he is back off.

You have to ask him if he's in a relationship, and that you'd like to see him. As for the doctor/ patient thing, just start seeing another doctor. Done and done.

Just be honest and open, he will appreciate that a lot more than beating around the bush. Just ask him if he would like to have coffee sometime. Then leave the rest up to him.

I would not read too much into that - a lot of docs just have a great bedside manner!
