I think the saddest song i've heard recently is 9 crimes by damien rice. Its such a sad a song, but its beautiful at the same time.

YES!!!!!!! its such a sad song but its so beautifully written, its one of those few songs that you really listen and take in the words that r being sung. its such a pity lisa hannigan has left him. is he famous in america 2? i thought it was mainly ireland and a bit of d uk...COOL!!!!!
