Head over to the Verizon store and the customer service folks will help you select a new phone, and will sign you up for a new contract.

There will be some out of pocket fees, of course.

My mom just got out of her contract...without paying a fee..she moved into a new house and the service was bad. She called all the time to tell them her phone service doesnt work in her new house. Then finally she called and said I am canceling and the customer service rep had her give her proof of her new residence and cxl'd the contract for free.

You'll have to go to a verizon store and purchase a new phone and then just change the chip in your old one to your new one.

You can buy yourself out of the contract. I bought out of mine for $176 dollars, which is cheaper than the monthly fee.

Just buy a new one.

You'll have to pay full price though unless you want to extend your contract.
