Obviously, she now looks completely different from her passport picture - can she still travel on the same passport or do we have to pay for a new one?

It depends on the length of time your passport was issued for. It doesn't matter what your daughter looked like then or now, what matters is that your passport is issued for a certain time frame and as long as it is valid, then that is all that matters. If you need a passport issued in 24 hours, please go to www.travelwithben.com Also, if you would like to travel at wholesale prices, call the number and ask to speak to Tanya. If she does not answer, leave a voice mail, she is very busy, but will get back to you within 24 hours!

I think it should be ok, if it's valid then it's valid. Passport control no doubt see it all the time.

I heard of one case though were a guy got his passport photo taken while he had a moustache. A few years later he decided to shave it off. When he next went on holiday, he was detained for three months while it grew back.

Why not have children's name in your own passport. When I was a child, I am quite sure my name was in my parents' passport.

Why do you all travel a lot when you could have fantastic holiday somewhere in the UK!! So global warming and all that tosh is just for show, right? George Bush would be proud of all this

It just goes by the expiry date. Some countries are making childrens' passports last shorter lengths of time now.
My younger daughter got her first passport when she was about three months old! All you could tell was she was about the right age, and a girl.

No!!!! We all look older than our original passport photo! Passports are good for 10 years and I just renewed mine. Coming back from Mexico once I had the ICE agent ask me if this was my passport - to which I replied "How many children do YOU have?" Trust me - I did it in a polite way however he got the point. Point being - We all grow older and the ICE guys/gals at customs work for US - we are the taxpayers who pay his or hers salary...........

It'll say on the passport; it'll have a validity date. I think kids' passports last for 5 years, so you're ok for a bit yet :-)

Same with my 2 daughters. My youngest is 4 and looks nothing like the baby photo in hers. My eldest was 6 months on her first passport and we used it fine until the five years were up. They really don't seem to bother to be honest. I was worried as well, but I've had no probs.

if its not expired [5years?] then its valid and it'll be fine. now, passport renewal offices are currently 3 months backed up. so if your traveling this summer, then keep the smae passport. if you traveling later in the year, i reccemond go to walgreens and take new pics, [$7?] and renew, just incase. goodluck=]
