to be honest i have still yet to get my GEDi was kicked out of school for too much b.s. at the time but now i look back it makes no diff either way i meen right after being kicked out i landed a job making 13$ an hour....so i meen where duz that piece of paper put you....im not tryin to say its a cool move not finishing school but the fact is dependin on what your plans in life are i dun see a point in either one.....for example if you are planning college and gettin some sort of degree then yes a diploma is necessary....but for those that start their own business and end up working for themselves what duz that put you.....i ve seenn friends of mine str8 A students and even get scholarships and where are they now? working stock at a supermarket, even my friends mother went to school for countless years to become a lawyer an once her firm dropped her she ended up working at a sports supply store.....now if your gunna do something that doesnt need a degree WHY WASTE TIME.....get a GED an go to a trade school designed to train you for that specific field such as film, animation, mechanic, computers whatever an by the time others are just graduating you have a head start on your carreer..just an opinion though right?

1-just because you have a ged dosen't mean you can't find a good job. 2-many people that have a ged dropped out for good reasons, not becuase they couldn't hack it.3- for someone to go back and get their ged shows that they are trying and shouldn't be discriminated against just becuase they didn't get a diploma....p.s. i have a diploma and am pursing my degree, but have a friend that is 56yrs old going after her ged and i think thats great.

Get a diploma! A GED shows you dropped out and will follow you the rest of your life, diminishing your chance for a good job. Learn a skill that will guarantee you employment for life. I'm 54 with a liberal arts degree and I'm having trouble finding work. Trust me!

have a diploma. a diploma means you " stuck it out " all the way while a GED means you quit but came back. when I was hiring people if there was one with a diploma and one with a GED and everything else was equal I would hire the one with a diploma.
