Would it be smart to do that ( its looks comfy )

hehe i put a stool in the middle where it sank in .. ans its so comfotable !!

Uh... the only box I have under my bed, contains a large quantity of games, psp, ps2 and pc... and yes, I can sleep without it under my bed.

I think you were talking about something else though

Yes. In fact a lot of beds (especially the ones sold at IKEA) are designed to not have a boxspring. Also during college, a lot of people just slept on the mattress (no boxspring) on the floor. I guess it's just preference!

You can. They only recommend it because it provides more support for the matterss. If you don't have any back problems I guess you could try it and see how it feels. The platform beds have the mattress directly on the platform/wood frame...no box springs.

You would have to put a board or something under your mattress, or put the mattress on the floor. You can sleep on it without the box.

Yeah sure, I can sleep anywhere if I'm tired. The box spring that I think your referring to is just additional support and meant to be softer and more comfortable.
