Vista is horrible. It's a memory hog. Even 1GB of RAM is only seen as a minimum requirement.
There are too many different versions of Vista.
Microsoft is hellbent on having a secure OS, but Vista goes overboard and it's just a matter of time before hackers find a hole

I just like the visual effects, but hate it overall. It takes up too many system resources, incompatitble (sp?) with too many programs, the only reason if you're running DX10 and even then it's not really worth it. It's not even safer then XP it's just as bad actually, kinda funny.
I love the visual effects it looks really cool, but I have a Skin for XP that makes it look like Vista so I'm good for now. I'ma wait for SP1 or SP2 to come out before I even give it a chance.
Ubuntu looks nice >.>

I prefer x.p., vista is slow and sluggish. I am sure that if you could have it on 28days trail you would agree. Security seems to be the main objective, But this goes overboard.
Won't be to long before somebody comes up with a way to hack in.

It over all good. It has more range for my wifi internet. I love that part. I hate the slowness of it. It is also safe. That why I like it.

Hate and Love are not applicable words for an operating system. It is not a program.
It either does the job intended or it falls short of an alternative which can do as much or more to control the various components.
