Amarillo, Lubbock, and Wichita Falls get the most. Dallas, Fort Worth, Midland, Odessa, Abilene, and El Paso get a lot, too. Austin, Houston, and San Antonio get it, but not too terribly often.

yes the panhandle interstate 20 corridor. Amarillo midland every year some times even in southtexas i live on coast of galvaston tx. it snowed 4r5 times in past 10 years it was great 2 years ago 2 wake up on xmas morning and have 3 inches.

A large part of the western part is at a pretty high elevation. When I was going to MOS school at Goodfellow Air Force Base, in San Angelo, there were cold advisories and snow/ice.

When I took Basic Training at Fort Bliss (Near El Paso. TX) in 1946 it snowed there. But as usual they would say it was just blowing over from New Mexico

It can. A couple I know went to Corpus Christi TX a few years ago over Christmas and woke up to 4 inches of snow. They saw someone driving around with a snowman in the back of a pickup. :-)

Yes! mostly in the Northern most part(Pan handle) but this year it actually snowed in central Texas.

my husband had to work in Austin,TX for 8 months and it snowed 3 days in Jan

yep - saw it snow 3 years straight in Ft Worth when I was at school
