I think for some people it is instinctive and I think that people in general can control it as well

emotions are instinctive, but how we express them can be controlled. it does take alot of control, and practice. the number one thing to remember is to not be afraid to express your emotions.

im expressive person,im very openminded..its takes time.. It all has to deal with how you feel comfortable with yourself and how you like to appear.Most of all how confident are you to express those feelings.It all takes time.But as you become that way and it helps you feel more comofrtable in your own skin and its a wonderfuyl feeling.
