Happiness is not for forever. It is momentary. We feel happy when we are in our parents protection, when we are in love and in bed with the woman of our choice, when we have kids, when we earn handsomely, when our kids grow in front of our eyes. One can be happy in poverty and one can NOT remain happy as a wealthy person. IT ALL depends on the circumstances from time to time...

anything done from the heart with love brings happiness to the giver and the receiver it actually frees your mind for a moment from distress and want/hopes, be it even helping a person to cross the road.
It doesnt have to be of money thats why poverty and wealth have failed in bringing happiness

After 39+ years of life on this Earth, I finally figured out where happiness (joy) comes from. It doesn't come from having money (if you look around this world at all, this would be plain), it doesn't come from necessarilly having a lot of friends, fame, or power, or religious convictions, or morality, or high achievements. I honestly believe it comes from having the kind of heart that genuinely loves people. I do not know how these kinds of hearts are formed and few people have one, and you can't get one by wanting it, or trying, or faking it. You either have one or you don't. People who love have much joy in their heart. For the rest of us, we can find distractions and the little bit of love that is in our hearts to bring about moments of joy from time to time.

Feeling good about yourself and your actions. (I learnt this the hard way) You can not be happy trying to live by others standards. As they vary. No one has to live with you besides yourself. So do things you enjoy, try new things ( to see if you like them), make friends, and think positive. (This really helps) LOL

Good books. Good friends. Good wine. And, a great cup of coffee in the morning.
Not to mention two good pooches, a cat and a fish named, Fred.
