The second season of Heroes will air September 24, 2007.
Heroes: Origins will consist of about 6 episodes and will introduce one new character each episode, and viewers will choose which character will join the main cast at the end of the run. There is no date yet but I would assume that it will be starting up in a few weeks.

September 24th for Volume Two.
Origins comes on BEFORE Volume Two Chapter One, NOT during any hiatus as the first answerer stated.
