this is in texas and for no other reason than what he saiys is your attitude or the way he thinks you are doing your job ...as in "half stepping" or being to slow and the like

Your question is too vague to answer. What type of deductions is your employer referring to?

These deductions can be perfectly legal for a number of reasons.

If there is no legal reason then the employer cannot make such deductions.

It might be a good idea for you to document these employer assertions and report them to your State's Labor Relation Board and get their opinion, no one here has enough information to advise you.

Depends. If you owe child support they can garnish your wages up to a certain percent. Maybe that is what he was talking about. But if it is to put in his own pocket I don't think so. Next time he says that call him on it. If he tries to do it then tell him to go blow himself and walk out. Nobody deserves to take that from an employer.

Your employer seems to be a very strange individual with absolutely no respect for his workers. He must comply with the Contract of Employment issued when you were hired

Call the department of labor in Texas, let them handle it.
