I am looking to purchase a laptop, but have a quick question. Which would be more favorable (in terms of both processing power and power consumption)? An AMD Turion 64 X2 Dual-Core TL-60(2.0GHz/1MB L2 Cache) or an Intel Core 2 Duo T5600(1.83GHz/2MB L2Cache)?

They each have their advantages and disadvantages. If you can wait, till the end of june, dell is gonna gome out with some nice intel based on the 965 chipset and a new puter based on an ATI/amd combo.

AMD is better because it has two 64 bit cores. While Intel has two 32 bit cores. The AMD is faster in processing and has less power consumption.
