Led Zeppelin. Out of those bands, you cannot get any ******* better combination of a drummer, guitarist, and lead singer than Led Zeppelin. Grateful Dead is really cool in a way that their **** is chill and funky, but in a contest of who can kick your *** on different instruments? Definately Led Zeppelin.

You can't pick a best band out of all those Rock Gods!

AC/DC - almost every song surges with power, hard not to sing along

Led Zeppelin - How can anything compare to Robert Plant's vocals and Jimmy Page's guitar.

Def Leppard - These guys have some great songs, AND you have to respect a Drummer who refuses to give up after losing an ARM!

Gun's 'N Rose's - some of the best songs of the '80s.

Lynyrd Skynyd - two words "FREE BIRD" one of the best live shows I have ever seen was these guys and that was after most of the band was already dead.

Greatful Dead - Not just a band but a way of life. great songs that run on and on forever. great lyrics!

Rolling Stones - A Band that can sell as many tickets as they do after 40 years must me masters of their craft!

Molly Hatchet - Great Band great songs!

Black Sabbath - During and after Ozzy's reign as frontman, this is just one incredable band songs that will live on forever

.38 Special - Great songs, fun music.

Charlie Daniels - This man IS the Country / Rock Music GOD!
Charlie has that every man appeal.

Bon Jovi - 80's hair metal at it's best

Metallica - another band where every song just oozes with power. some of the best metal you will ever hear!

Iron Madien - At least 1 Iron Maiden song should be in your top 10 list Probably 2 or more.

Carlos Santana- Give that man a guitar, and it's like giving Shakespear a pen.

1) LED ZEPPELIN put out the best albums of all these bands (great when I saw them live in 1977)
2) ROLLING STONES best songs were over 30 years ago but always awesome in concert (saw them in '78 and '81)
3) BLACK SABBATH The Heavy Metal Band
4) GRATEFUL DEAD one of the best bands to see in concert
5) METALLICA better than the rest of this list

Metallica is the reason modern metal sounds like it was. Yes, Sabbath started it and Zeppelin defined it but Metallica truly made it what it is today.

Would have to say Guns N' Roses but I am talking about the original band of Axl, Izzy, Steven, Slash & Duff. Not the bunch of side show freaks touring with Axl and calling themselves GN'R.

None of them !!!! In my opinion It's impossible to pick a best band. I can pick favorite artist's. Dio best vocal's, Guitar 100's of great's, at this moment I happen to be diggin on Ritchie Blackmore. Drum's the proffesor, Neil Peart, Bass, That's tough but I think old school ,Probably John Entwhistle. But personel taste's run differently from person to person, Day to day.

These are all amazing bands you have listed here. The sad thing is that none of these bands would be where they are today if not for the greatest band of all time.... The Beatles...

Thumbs down me if you like but this is true whether you want to admit it or not.....

Great bands by the way... I liked this question
