Tuberculosis Scare?

This poor man - Andrew Speaker, the Atlanta-area lawyer suffering from TB. The whole world – especially the national news programs - is treating him like an alien, it’s stupid & ridiculous. I highly think he did not do this intentionally to harm anyone, however he has apologized for his actions. Seriously, have we taken heed to every suggestion the doctor told us when we were ill? More than likely, no. All jokes aside.. Tuberculosis is a serious (and possibly fatal in this case) respiratory disease if not medically treated right away. People need to stop being pissed at this guy, accept his apology and move on. We all become ill – some worse than others, but eventually in time we feel better. And I hope this man does too.

Stop with the “how could you?” & “what were you thinking”. Just pray for a speedy and quick recovery so he will not be isolated from his newlywed and his close family & relatives.



**Quick question: whatever happened to the so called “pandemic” and pandemonium of the Bird Flu and SARS in our society?

To cadaholic's response: I do not think he will be prosecuted for this. You might as well prosecute others who fall ill to illnesses such as the common cold, pneumonia, flu, etc...

However, I know there will be an epidemic (no pun intended) of lawsuits in the near future; sad but true. Then again, it seems as if the majority of people are "sue-happy" over anything and everything.

You really that dumb out there? He was and is a danger to others and he knew it. Feel no remorse at all. He needs to be prosecuted and put away for what he did. He's a lawyer and he certainly should have never ever done what he has done! Wake up out there!

Lets pray for the people on the planes and the ones that came into contact with him lets pray for his family and his girl friend that no one contacts this deadly disease with no cure. He will need all the help he can get along with a string of banks if someone contact this illness.

from reading your question i take it you did not come in contact with this man i think it is terrible what he did to come in contact with anyone after he was told he had TB just plain TB should have been enough for him to sit down and work with the cdc he does not care about anyone but himself i hope things does turn out well for him and aslo the others he was around can you imageing what others and their families are going through at this moment the pity if any should be with the innocent people he was around''sorry'' does not cut it he knew what he was doing

Even though spitting or coughing out of blood is one of the things to consider for tuberculosis, what you have is not tuberculosis. the blood in your nose is cause by overblowing which injured your nose. when you snot back the blood in your throat, it becomes dark thats why you cough it out. green thing you spit out is i think phlegm cause by infection. you must go back to your doctor cause i think you need antibiotic stronger than penicillin.

I can honestly say that if my doctor told me I had TB, I wouldn't pretend I didn't, whilst putting everyone else at risk.

Apologies do not cure TB, especially this new resistant strain.
