The first digit to the right of the point is out of 10, the second is 100, and so on by adding a zero. In this paticular problem, 7.55 would be 7 55/100. To simplify this fraction, you have to divide the two numbers by the same amount. In this case, they are both divisible by 5, so it would equal 11/20.

Use the 'pie' method.
A pie is cut into 100 pieces. And those pieces can be cut into 100 slivers too.
So 7.55 pieces of the pie will be 7 full slices, and 55 slivers.
All slivers add up to 100, and so do full slices.
Therefore 7.55 + 7.55 = 15.10
Hope this helps.

You may relate your conversion needs to a particular type of numbers alone (1/9 to 9/9 or 1/99 to 99/99 or 1/999 to 999/999 or any higher order series that is needed to you!)
Above series numbers can be easily remembered!
For example 1/9....9/9 can be remembered by...
1/9= 0.111111111...
2/9= 0.222222222...
..........................
8/9=0.888888888...
9/9=0.999999999... (A numerator is recurring value)
Further, 1/99....99/99 can be remembered by...
1/99= .010101010101010101....
2/99= .020202020202020202....
3/99= .030303030303030303....
................................
97/99= .979797979797979797...
98/99= .989898989898989898...
99/99= .999999999999999999 (A numerator digit as a '2-digits group' as shown recur endlessly!
Together with these also remember that...
1/2= 0.5
1/4= 0.25
1/8= 0.125
1/16= 0.0625
1/32= 0.03125
1/64= 0. 015625 and so on...
Just use your memory!
7.55 nearest is (7and 5/9) and so on...
Regards!

It seems like you are asking how to add two decimal numbers. If you have to add 7.55 to say 3.2 write the numbers one above the other lining up the decimal points, then add. The sum you should get is 10.75
